Good stuff Jack, thank you.

And timely.  I need to do better with our D, and while I will likely continue to run JJ's 33, there's plenty of stuff you do that I can use.

If I could emphasize any of the concepts in this defense they start on page 17 in the First PDF.

Geometry!!  Not only does it work well here but its crosses over to all in some way shape or form.
Read the Knights and Pawns and understand how to build you triangles to support each other.

IMHO knowing this will make you a much better Defensive Coach.

😉

Not MPP... ONE TASK!  Teach them!  🙂

I will be working on updating these power points over the next few months.  If there is anything in additions to these decks that you would like me to add please let me know.

HEY! Hi Jack....

Believe it or not...I decided to circle back around and take another team next season...going to run 8 man DW (rookie tackle) based off of your stuff...and defense if going to be 63ish, Killer Beeish...because it is 8 man...good to "see" you.

None of them suck, they just haven't found what the kid is good at yet.

Hey Chris!

Fun!  The younger ages are always fun.  8 man DW with that age group should do well.  Is the field compressed or is it on the same field?

I am still coaching my younger son's team.  We had another undefeated season ending with their fifth championship.  I am little worried that he might stop playing football...he is on a Major's Baseball team that travels a lot and he is really good.  Plays 2B, Catcher and is a starting pitcher.  Between wrestling, football, and baseball with him ((thankfully he dropped basketball as I was coaching his competitive team in the winter)) and Kaden playing Premier Soccer which travels all over the country I am spread super thin.  🙂  Having the winter off except for indoor soccer  and Blake working out with his hitting/pitching coach has been really nice.

We need to get together and do lunch sometime.

Yeah, compressed field...I think 35 by 70 yards. Doty and Gradney are coming with me too...we liked the recipe we used first time around DTDW until they are 10, get them mean and nasty, and spread them out...so going to try that route with this group...

Sound like they are keeping you busy...Goose is up at Commerce still, spring ball starts in February, he wore his red shirt all last season...he seems ready to hit the field again 🙂

Lunch is always a good idea...maybe one of those pizza sandwiches (I am so easy to please).

None of them suck, they just haven't found what the kid is good at yet.
