Do you guys or have you ran the TE on a Cross on Pass Left instead of his normal #3 route where the Safety is?

I'm thinking WBO Slot Pass Left TE Cross

Sometimes I like sending the WB in motion to kick the backside pass rusher instead of cracking him down in.  I feel like it gives the QB at minimum and extra half second, plus an easier block.

5      T G C G T  6
              1
    3 4

              2

If I run WBO & Slot, I put 4 inside when he's going in motion since their steps are the same when lining up.

I'd think the QB would be able to hit the TE as he passes the LT's side of the field.  With 5 running his Slant/Corner and 3's Out there could be a nice void right there.  The reverse pivot and rolling out with the option to keep and run would be killer IMO for a 3rd Down conversion play or nice Red Zone/& Goal play.  A LB could play either the QB on the run or 2 running towards his block, for 6 to be open, or play he could play 6 and the QB run it.

Shoot a hole in it.

I have ran waggle with dcwt, so there is te cross.

"Rocket waggle (1,2,3 open)"

* long version = rocket right 38 waggle left

------5----0--0-#-0--0---6
--------------------1---------------4
---------------3----2

Key points.
1. Fb runs backside A gap then hits the flat going left
2. Pulling guard needs to get deep and infront of qb looking edge rusher to backside
3.  5 runs post corner or slant/go
4.  Wb shows crack and seals, when we ran this originally the wb was the crosser, he out ran my fb and created issues

so 3 receivers in order...we used 1,2,3 open in that order
Fb in flat
Te on cross
wr on post corner

We shortened the language to allow my stuttering 11 yr olr qb to make the call

I can explain it to you, I can't understand if for you.

Is your Rocket the same as DCWT the opposite of Speed?  Trying to imagine your play in my head.

Yes...

-Wb is "frozen"
-Hb goes in rocket motion
-Fb steps right foot first toward right foot of right guard
- qb does half of the reverse pivot to sell rocket toss then boots left
- oline gap/slide right

I can explain it to you, I can't understand if for you.

We ran rocket and jumbo as our base...no option, no jet.  It was rocket/jumbo, belly, counter,  this waggle and quick slant.

I saw a great wing t clinic that essentially ran rocket to open up belly, i had 2 speedsters at hb and wb so it really worked well that year, normally i run belly option.  Its a free glazier online clinic i loved it, made a lot of sense especially for youth.

Thats why i decided on waggle out of rocket

Nice.  I have nice speed at both of those.

Was that clinic in person or online?  I'd like to check it out.

Are you talking a TE Drag off some kind of play action?

If so then yes....great play....from just about any formation.

What is beautiful, lives forever.

It looks like a TE drag to me too.  He could be wide open or in a crowd.  You need a QB that will make a good decision here or it can be an INT.  The "D" will play their best defenders along the drag route.  While I imagine it works more times than not, I'm betting a defender jumps that pass before your season is out.  You have to decide if 5 yards is worth the risk.  Can you run "TE Throwback"?  It gets far more yards and for little risk and it's the same route.
