Thanks.  My best take-home as a non-DWer was to watch the feet during games or scrimmage action, rather than looking higher.  It's not the 1st time I've gotten that advice, but it takes a while to sink in.

It came up as a result of calling fronts for blocking.  Usually I don't have a good viewing angle.  I remember one game in particular where I did for about the entire 1st half, and I could see the other team's D was in a 0 tech (or maybe negative 1 from the side of interest) and a 5 tech, and our guard on that side was not releasing to block downfield.  At halftime I told him what I was seeing, and he said he was covered!  No, you are not covered when the closest DL is at least a position away!!  So if we wanted to adjust the blocking based on the front, relying on the players to recognize it would not have worked in our case.  (But then, it wasn't something we worked on.  But they were 12Us.)  But if a view of their feet reveals it, calling the front from the sideline would be feasible.

Yes, I enjoyed the session very much.  I wanted to share with Jack that it's encouraging to see him adapt what he does to fit his personnel (not necessarily DW).  Thanks Jack.
