A better version with no tell is to run FB power under power sweep.

Have the BS WB run power sweep action with the QB blocking power second level above the DE. The DE will take him self out of play as he gains width and collapses on the WB.  QB makes the hand off like trap and FB runs power.  In Shift the FB gets the direct snap.

We establish power pass and power sweep first and get that DE thinking edge when he sees that WB gain depth.

Playside WB power blocks but on occassion we will send him on a pass route to convince the secondary it is WB power pass...which is fun.

Have used this on numerous occasions.

This is how we originally installed the Double Wing offense back in 2006.
The first game we ran this the FB ran for 247 yards. It was a week 3 installation after we found that our Bone offense wasn't being effective enough. We had 4 plays from this. Power, Wing Jet Sweep, Counter and Waggle. As the season went on we added more.
He finished the season with over 1500 yards.
The FB is still playing in the NFL.

We set him 6 yards deep and had the Wing motion flat across behind the LOS. We snapped the ball just as he passed the Center. Defense had to think that it may have been Jet. The motion wing was supposed to do the kick out block.

Leo Hand has a paperback book on this type of offense: "101 Aceback Bunch plays"

Can you describe your counter play?

Coach Potter,
Have you tried the G play (or DOG) for your Fullback? I've run it and seen other programs run it with big success when having a really great runner at fullback.

Trap?  We run Trap.

We offset our Fullback, so I'm not seeing how that'd work for us.

The Toss to the B Back they like with X over.

Then there's no way he's in a sniffer position.

Pre-pistol, Terry Cox used to run power toss to his offset FB.  He wasn't sniffing though.

"Dog" is an diagonal hitting off tackle play with the PSG kicking out the last man on the LOS. In my old terminology, we called that "End Trap". The Wing-T guys would refer to this a "Down" due to the blocking scheme. The back's  running path is similar to that of a Power OT play. The trade off between the Power and Dog is this sacrifices the double team at the POA for possibly hitting just a hair quicker.

'Trap" commonly refers to an interior play between the tackles that starts out more or less straight ahead, where the away side Guard (or Tackle) crosses the formation mid line to kick out an interior defender, usually the first defender head up on the opposite guard or wider.

But you knew that!

G-Down- Dog are very different from trap ones a down down kick scheme other is a between the guards scheme were you leaving play side DT  unblocked. Very different plays and schemes down is a fast fast fast were fb is lead stepping with play side foot aiming for te  , Trap is a bend bend play play were your coming down mid-line and dependent on front may have to adjust were your bending. Maybe I'm out of my mind......

Seems simple enough. Everyone block down play side, A back motions over to kick out and back side guard pulls around to inside LB.

Wyatt terms would probably be:

Tight Rocket 6 Lead O

Or from Gun:
West Rocket 6 lead O

Yes we were running POWER in this exact manner but from the GUN way back around Double Wing Symposium 2 ... I only remember the time frame because I presented my Twin Gun DW look at that DWS ... our Wings would motion across and kick the DE while the QB and FB ran the off tackle play ... worked great ...

DP ... DOG is a 'G' play where the play side guard is trapping the DE ... Trap is where the back side guard traps someone on the playside (depending on what hole you are attacking) ...

Thanks for all the replies!

The complete set of plays to B back deep would be :Toss wide with Wing back lead blocking with motion, Power with wing back kick out, Blast (iso) with Playside wing lead and motion wing faking outside, Fake blast with pitch to motion wing (kind of option but not really), typical power pass, and spinner QB trap/counter.  Which is a lot.
