If I went back to coaching youth ball (particularly the age group where the coach is allowed in the field), I think I would call where I'd want my double-team to occur and leave the rest to block (Gap/On).

I've bee noodling on calling out where I want a part block for years. Better yet, I've been noodling on a way for my linemen to figure it out on their own and communicate it to the backs.

When in doot . . . glass and oot.

In Gun, the QB can see where it is and call it out.
