The DC "Killer Bee" was introduced in 2012 as an alternative to my popular DC46.  It is an even front defense with zone coverage and is intended to replace my DC Pro 4-3.  The defense uses two MPP's and two small, fast corners.  The defense is designed to attack opposing line split rules used by offenses like DW, SW, and Spread. The Zone is simple (Take whoever comes to you).  It destroys pulling offenses and can call a tremendous pass rush with no blitz.  Complexity to install is about the same as Jack Gregory's 6-3.    Of last year's poll respondents, 40% of all KB coaches played in their Super Bowl.

Correct me if I am wrong Clark, but I believe I was the guinea pig with the Bee in 2012 (only one that ran it).  My starting defense gave up zero tds and we went undefeated. This past season we went 5-3..we got beat bad by a great double wing team but it was not due to the Bee but our poor tackling and execution on offense.  over the last two years the Bee has shut down two flexbone teams, two double wing teams, a single wing team, a pistol team, a really good spread team and two power I teams. One of the double wing teams, the pistol team and one of the power I teams only loss was to the Bee 8) It did all of this with only one adjustment against one team... and that was a spread team with a passer who could accurately get rid of the ball within three seconds before my OLBs could get there and that was the Nickel adjustment.  I highly doubt you would ever have to use it.

I have run the DC46, Gregory's 63, 33 stack, 53 and 62.
I would have to disagree with Clark on difficulty of install.  In my opinion, Jack's is a harder install- but I think only because of how Clark has simplified the install.  The same can be said with his DC46. I was there last year when he made the install DVD and taught it to a team he had never even seen before and they had it down in a couple of hours.  Until I am proven different (by either an offense that it wont stop or not having the manning) I will be staying with it.

Coach,

Is there a download available for the Killer Bee defense?

Would be very interested if so.

Thanks,

The Killer Bee is a defense you have to buy.  It's about $ 50-75 depending upon what you want.

It can be same day.  It depends if you get it after I check my box or not.  If you get it after, expect 24 hours.
