Obviously it has been a while since you drove down Broadway.  There are A LOT of them.  I still don't understand the business decision to open a dispensary right next door to a DISPENSARY!

And no, I have never been in one.  Beer, bourbon and rum do a good enough job at taking the edge off.

Kent

I went in one with my brother in law. He's a cancer patient who needed a ride and I was curious. Not what I expected at all. Evidence that pot heads can get their crap together and be professional. I don't have anything against it or anyone who uses it. I don't partake because my job requires a security clearance.

I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think Jeffco allows any dispensaries or recreational stores. That would explain why Mike hasn't seen them. They tend to be stacked up on the Denver side of the county line, which is why you see 5 in a row. Look for the green crosses. It's like going to a dry county in Texas. On the far side of the river there will be 10 liquor stores, 5 strip clubs and 3 porn stores.  😀

When in doot . . . glass and oot.

LOL !

Funny thing....two coaches on our Staff over the years work at grow shops. The money is VERY good. One is an electrician and one is a horticulturist.  Both were kinda freaked out coaching kids because they showed up at 5pm reeking like some serious weed. Neither smoked pot.

What is beautiful, lives forever.

Not a shock.

I'd fire my recruiter for sending an email like that.

From what I have read, the firing was for the "discriminatory" email AND another issue.  Seems that there may also have been some sort of NAIA violation that occurred prior to the CO email that the school was addressing.

I live here and couldn't tell you if pot was legal or not. I have never even seen a dispensary. But then again...I haven't been out looking for one either.

Its not like folks are sitting at bus stops doing bong hits.  😛

They sure as hell are in Washington, where I live. Everywhere you go, you smell pot smoke. It doesn't bother me but it's always present.

My guess is he just doesn't know what he is talking about because he doesn't live in Colorado. He is sure making a lot of assumptions.

Who is "he?"  Steven A. Smith?  I'll agree with you that Steven A. Smith has no clue as to what he (Steven A. Smith) is talking about.

Stephen A. Smith is awesome.

Michael can not receive PM's, emails or respond to Posts. He passed away in September 2018. To honor his contributions we are leaving his account active. R.I.P - Dumcoach Staff.

From what I have read, the firing was for the "discriminatory" email AND another issue.

"Discriminatory?"  My guess was when he referred to the Colorado politicians as "liberals."  Other than that, I don't see anything discriminatory in the text.  If it's not financially sound to recruit an area, state or region, then you don't.  And if it's not worth putting the time, energy and money into recruiting an area that likely won't pay off for you, then you shouldn't.  If Texas Wesleyan doesn't recruit Colorado, there's nothing wrong with that.  There's nothing wrong with telling a student-athlete why you don't come to his state.  Texas Wesleyan (like a lot of schools in all sports) don't recruit all 50 states, for a variety of reasons.  If Colorado was an athletically productive and fiscally productive state for Texas Wesleyan to recruit, then they would do so.  Let's say you're an Ivy League school and test scores from certain states are traditionally low.  It doesn't make sense to spend a great deal of time looking for a needle in a haystack when you have an orchard full of oranges within states that can meet your requirements.
