So Meyer is going with the "I lied to the media because it was a personnel issue and I didn't want to address it" approach.

So that sort of makes sense.  Except he still has to explain why he didn't fire the guy.  Until everything came out, anyway.

If he stays on, recruiting is going to be a bitch.  There will be some very, very awkward home visits.

And the other "compassionate" half who pretends to care,  really doesnt when it comes to their own actions and their own money- HOWEVER they are VERY generous and passionate about giving  other peoples money though, God bless those humanitarians  ::) ::)

Dave P and a couple of others are somewhat missing an intermediate solution. Meyer doesn’t need to declare him guilty, or believe anything, or investigate anything, or DO much of anything other than report what he heard up the ladder and then possibly put the guy on paid admin leave while the school and/or police investigate it.  If they clear him, he comes back. If not, he’s fired.

Meyer’s role really is not that complicated. And you don’t screw around with it or sit on it. That’s just DUMB.

It isn't, if he's telling the truth that he forwarded the info up the chain of command (Geno Smith) in 2015. (Which is what he now claims.)  Pity he didn't admit that to whoever, when he was first asked about his AC and 2015.

So I watched the video. Most peole, on either side of the aisle, believe that the majority of the other side leans to the extremes of that side. That is not the case. That student was just flat out ignorant of the realities of life. Chalk it up to the inexperience of youth or the brain washing he has recieved from left leaning institutions. Both sides have their propaganda machines btw. Don't believe that most liberals would side with the student. Most liberals don't wish for socialism. If they did, how could they possibly take advantage of their white privelage?

Anyway, my comment, was aimed at society in general. In fact, I bet half not giving a shit is really low. Most people when it really gets down to it, truly only care about the little bubble they live in. People talk a good game but most people imo are completely self centered. The speaker demonstrated that very well.

Right, all the arguments about how it's not the coach's job to investigate these things and decide these things are reasons FOR the policy, not reasons against it.

But some people like to argue while having no clue about the subject of the argument.  They just make a few assumptions and get rolling.  Not really a net time-saver, but if you hate doing research...

Props to you my friend for watching that entire video
But it IS true for most millenials

They want socialism without even really understanding what it is from an economics or historical perspective

Many of these "social justice warriors" are big hat no cattle hashtag heroes
If they are really about renouncing their so called privilege, they can give their college spot to someone else, take mom and dads tuition dollars and donate to NAACP or such like cause and totally renounce any inheritance. If all those ill gotten gains were due to oppression and privilege, why not do the right thing and return the funds to those it rightfully belongs to and make it on your own?

Instead of putting their hands in other peoples pockets to show their compassion and love, why not be the example for us all and put your own money where your mouth is? That would be true compassion and love- not what they are proposing- which is taking from their fellow citizens who dont agree with their approach.  Im not sure how we got to the place in our society where we measure a persons moral high ground or compassion by their willingness to FORCE others at the point of a gun which is what taxation is,  to pay for the things they want instead of them personally ponying up the money and forfeiting their privilege and inheritances  themselves.

I would LOVE for someone to come up with a method/process/instrument where these millennials give up 100% of any inheritance. This would be binding- set up tables at all these demonstrations and colleges and have these kids renounce their own privilege via legal binding documents. . That would be awesome, we have no right as a society to hand down the end result of good decisions,  hard earned money and in many cases delayed gratification savings to our children, it rightfully should go to the state so it can be distributed to those who make poor decisions, choose not to work hard and spend every penny they make.

Idk Dave, living in Floriduh I see a ton of younger people who support Trump and or severe right leaning politics. I imagine if you go to other southern states you would find the same if not moreso. The thing is, those kids are just as un or misinformed as the leftist idiots. Unfortunately, most of our country listens to their propaganda machine of choice and soak it all in like the gospel. I was talking to a friend about this. She assumed because I am staunchly anti Trump that I was a liberal. She was talking bad about Fox (the issues with Fox are primarily with the opinion talk shows that play themselves off as news, the left has similar media for sure) and how biased they are. I then asked her where she gets her news from. You guessed it, CNN. She was stunned that I considered them every bit as bad as Fox. Wolf Blitzer is no better than Fox and Friends. Maybe worse as anyone with any sense can tell Fox and Friends is a talk show. Blitzer portrays his program as news. And with both there is news mixed in but also a ton of misinformation and opinions.

Anyway, when I made my post I didn't intend for it to be political. I saw your reply and realized how silly it was of me to not assume it would be taken as such. My comment was honestly a reflection of how I view American society as a whole. We are in a sad state as a nation imo. Politically, socially, economically, our education system, our culture, you name it and I generally think it is in shambles. Contrary to either side of the aisles beliefs or the trap that spews from their mouths, neither have an effective solution for really anything.

Nice try

Ive never collected welfare, food stamps, unemployment,  medicare, section 8 housing, pell grants, farm subsidies etc (Im eligible for very small subsidy- have never taken it)

I guess I did "benefit" from the Gov by serving in the Army National Guard as a medic at about a $50 a day wage back when I was in

Nebraska is 46th out of 50 in getting federal funds- we pay MUCH more than we get back
California is ranked 36th here

I think Trump is an absolute genius.

He even mocks his own Office. The masses are starting to realize he is about the people because he does not give two hoots about..appearances. He has made politics entertaining and he is coming thru on his campaign promises like no other before him.

For example, he tried to reform Obamacare and McCain who absolutely despises Trump shows up and grandstands with the final and deciding vote with a thumps down and then leaves like he is Julius Ceasar himself.  So what does trump do....shrugs it off...tells the american people he will find another way but adds how sad it is that a guy like McCain would cost the american taxpayers 1 Trillion dollars over a silly vendetta. But Trump doesn't stop there. Tells the american people that guys like McCain have been wasting trillions of dollars for decades and that all Congress should not be allowed to stay in Washington for 30 years and live like fat cats off taxpayers money. Then he starts giving them all nicknames. Its hilarious.

That is how our President rolls and no one is safe from the real truth....Washington is indeed a swamp and this guy has the guts to attack everyone. Hell he claimed McCain isnt even a real war hero....plenty of people that know the situation agree. My Uncle Max was a Rear Admiral in the Navy during the Vietnam war and believes McCain is a full on traitor.

The people are beginning to listen to that "rhetoric" and couldn't give two hoots about some whore for 12 years ago...unless of course you against him. I believe Trump will easily win in 2020 and could very well change the face of politics for the next generation.

Trumps last rally speech in Tampa was epic....Trump...and he is getting more and more support with each passing day.

That video was very interesting. Thanks for sharing. 18 year old kids go into the college system with a clean mind and come out brainwashed.

What is beautiful, lives forever.

Interesting perspective. I completely disagree. I find Trump to be utterly repulsive. Strange that you feel he is for the people because he doesn't care about appearances. Not sure how that makes sense. I mean, for you to care about the people you can't care about  appearances? What?

Funny how he has problems with Congress serving long term but thinks being president for life sounds like something we should try. His words, not mine.

As far as him criticizing a veteran, if you didn't serve shut the hell up. He mocks gold star families and that's ok because they are immigrants? Everything I have read of McCain's time as a pow lead me to believe he acted heroically. Did Trump have the patriotism to serve? The bravery to serve? Does he have any of the qualities that show that he could serve? Not that I can see.

I erased the rest of my response. I just don't want to argue about the virtues of Trump. This is not the place.

So back to Urban. Am I right when I heard his ac say that he had talks with Meyer in 2015 but Meyer denies the talks happen? I didn't hear the whole thing as I was in and out of the room. This scumbag (the ac scumbag that is) repeatedly said he didn't hit her so there was no abuse but their is a text of him apologizing for strangling her? Strangling isn't abuse? If what I thought I heard is actually what I heard Meyer is done.
