Hey guys long time no post. Was wondering if anyone had access to a Triple Spin offense playbook? I ran some very basic stuff that I kinda pieced together on my own in flag football, and it was interesting to see that it worked pretty good at the youth level with no blocking. I'm thinkin about trying to put in a triple spin package for tackle.
Thanks in advance

Anyone one used this with 7/8 yr. olds? I was wondering if the mesh would be too difficult for them.

it will take time, but it can be done, I did it with 9-10s in flag, but had no issues with the mesh, I actually had the blocking back start off facing the QB and HB. I have my backs at only 1 1/2 yards back from center. It's all real close and the mesh is quick.. the BB only had to take one step to get back to the mesh point.
just remember this, a 7-8 year old can do the same plays as HS, it just takes triple the time to teach it

theres also the question WHY?
7-8s dont need to much fancy stuff, really just the basic fundamentals of blocking can win you a lot of your games. IMO its a mistake to do to much, or concentrate on crazy, I'm not a "keep it simple stupid" aka KISS coach, but you have to start off here and then progress.
I coached this level several times, fundamentals, the basics win more than anything else, the opposite is also true, lacking the basic fundies will loose you games very quickly.atever offense you run, make sure it has this...
wedge - a good wedge at this age can be your go to play, even a mediocre wedge will win you several ball games.
misdirection - a split flow play, don't need a double hand-off reverse, just a fake 1 way and run the other...aka counter...run it both ways.
power run - multiple lead blockers, over whelm defense at POA, this is usually an off tackle play.
sweep - its hard for kids to tackle on on open grass, its easy to run outside - no brainer for big plays!
if you can do above yopu will be fine
OCD
Guys try and overthink this equation
Be etraordinary and the ordinary
Threaten several points of attack with the same perceived initial implied intention- series football
Play action pass off said series
In my absence our 7-8th grade coach here in Nebraska tried triple spin and didnt do well with it- abandon it after first couple of games
When adding anything in ask yourself:
HOW DOES THIS STRESS THE DEFENSE IN A DIFFERENT WAY THAN WE DO ALREADY?
And how does this solve a specific problem I consistently have, that solves for me not winning championships?
However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.Winston Churchill
All I know is it's fun in flag football, and wanted to see if it would translate to tackle. The boys had tons of fun running it, the parents had fun watching it, the defense hated it.. If you break it down to it's simplest form, you have to teach ONE play.. thats it... the you tell your puller in the huddle to go left, or right... You attack at 3 point's with ONE play.. and if you want to add a pass its all still the same, except the guys breaking off their blocks into patterns..
