I plan on running the Plato Colts Wishbone next year. I will also have my splits. Not only creating holes, but also making the line look much bigger than it is.

What size splits will you be using?  How wide (1 ft, 18 inches etc? same all the way across the whole line or progressive?

Here ya go 🙂

BASE is 2-3-4.
MAX is 3-4-5.
TIGHT is 6 inches.

Then we use the FLEX system.

If OL is covered use MAX RULES.
If OL is uncovered use TIGHT rules

I hope you mean "PLANO" Colts Wishbone!  😉

The Colts Wishbone is available two ways... for the younger kids (Through 3rd Grade) we have the new EASY WISHBONE... the plays are the same as the Advanced Bone, but we have fewer of them, and using naming conventions (Lion= Left HB, Rhino=RHB, etc.) rather than the dual number system.  So in the EASY version there is "Lion Sweep Right", but that play in the advance version would be the more standardized "Bone Wide Right - 28 Power Sweep Right"... so you can see, we really take a lot of the "thinking" out of the plays.  The other difference is that the Easy series is just 5 runs (Dive, Lead, Counter, Keeper, and Sweep) and three passes (Swing, Pop, and Flood).  Going Left and Right, you have 16 plays in your offense.  The advanced version which I run through 8th Grade Select includes more formations, and about 30 total plays.

Here is a link to our 7-1-1 Third Grade team from 2015... highest scoring offense in a large league.
