I heard that and I have to disagree about the speed issue. We was as fast if not faster than teams that was UTC. If the QB is at 3 yds how slow will that make the offense? 1/10th of a second if that? I never hear anyone say that a SW was slow. lol Just joking...the key is that if you command tempo and work on tempo you will find that pistol is as fast as UTC. 

Yeah. I agree I don't think it slowed us down at all. I really don't see a downside except like I said it made me cringe when we were on the 1 yd line.

We were fast and our qb was always a 4yds accept on fb and wb counters then hed go to 3ydsworked hard to make our backs hit the holes ASAP,which was one reason we didnt pull the bst alot.

Is anybody running any of Bill's IZ/OZ stuff from the power formation and how is it working?

I am not running any zone. I have an interest in it but then remember how hard it is to just get the concepts I need for our offense. Shoot if I asked any of my running backs to read the hole. Or read the DLM they would never even get the exchange. But that's just me and my guys.  I also am the only coach. So our IOL/wash(blast,counter,power), reach(perimeter) and base is enough for me. I know that zone is supposed to simplify but I don't know.

We wasn't running any of Moutjoy's IZ/OZ but we ran Power, Trap, IZ, and Stretch. We dumped Stretch around Week 1 and found that Power/Trap was better for us and Zone/Draw was a nice change up based off of what was going on with the game.
