Looking for some input. Need to select 20 kids for an 11 year old football team. Myself and the staff have narrowed the boys down to 25 and are going to call them back in for another round of evaluations.
The first night we set up stations, each assistant manning a station, and ran the boys through them; a tackle station, blocking station, strength station, and a speed station. We broke the boys up into groups based on their size. Each of the four assistants took notes on the boys and how they performed at their stations. Myself, I floated trying to see the ones we identified as possibilities before hand.
When we completed the evening we narrowed the list down to 25. Suggestions about what to do for the call back to weed out the final 5?
Thanks.
I wouldn't base any of the final decisions on physical traits or skills. Pass on kids that seem to be selfish, less confident, medling parents etc.
