I'll be running MH's stuff this fall with my 10u.
We are planning to run Power to the right and Counter to the Left.
As we get older, or if we are ahead of what I think, Power to Left would be an easy add.
It's about execution and what other run schemes you run. UBSW teams are very successful running power strong and counter weak. Mix in Power/Counter with Zone/Stretch and a G Scheme and we are off to the races.

Ever consider running Power to the left and Counter to the right? Here is my logic: Most teams put their better defensive players on the left (offensive right). So, run your power at the lesser players, should be bigger gains. The 'better' defenders will get antsy and aggressive since they are used to making the tackles... so easier to Counter them.
I'm always trying to out think the kids. Unfortunately, they are usually smarter than I am... ::)
Power and Counter have ZERO to do with Right or Left, they are right and left agnostic! Example:
If your are faced with a 43 over and shift from Double > Trips the LB's will shift and you will get fewer defenders away from Trips. In most cases you will get:
1. A gap defender
2. Will backer over the bubble
3. DE 5 tech
This is an easy block!
Example:
1. Start in DOUBLE motion H to create Trips and counter away from Trips!
