My happy opinion, coming from a multi-tile winner in Illinois, one way every single time!
Dont care Left, Right, Middle.  Use it every single time! 

Reasoning  I don't want them thinking I want them doing!  Whom ever catches the ball better be going the direction dictated or he is all alone!! 

Hence as a Header I kick it to strength and Punt OB.  Return that!!
