You have to remember that Mahonz can't coach anyone to do anything, so adjustments have to be made.

Thank you for the kind words.  🙂

No problem.  I didn't want anyone taking a shot at you without knowing your situation.

Thank for looking out for me. Hey did you find a team this season in St Louis?...or are you still in Chicago?

Just curious.

I helped a suburban Chicago team this summer, and go to their games if their game times/days work out with my St. Louis practice schedule.

I have done nothing to find a team in St. Louis.  My schedule is pretty booked, and I have enough aggravation as it is.  And joining a team on O-Line in September is not really my idea of a good time.

Bummer. You'd be a huge asset to any youth team. Is your stay in St Louis temporary?

One MAJOR issue popped up with our mega splits last Friday Night.

Noise.

Since none of us play in front of 75K fans the tendency is to never fully appreciate noise when on Offense. The winds were so strong for our game any player from our OT's out were struggling to hear the snap count. No problem for a WR....we all teach them to look in towards the football anyway....but what about an OT or TE?

Been a long time since I wore a football helmet....the wind was whistling thru their helmets. Maybe tape the ear holes?

How does the NFL do it when on the road? Do they look in at the football. Doesn't seem like it but I never really paid attention. Any thoughts?

BTW our opponent ran none of their spread packages for this very reason. They use a rhythmic cadence. We use first sound. They also use a lot of shifting but stopped doing that as well due to the fact few could hear.

The T's and TE's were the issue.

Funny story.

Our D-Line coach's wife asked him on the ride home how come the both of us were nose to nose yelling at each other.

Well...we had too in order to communicate !

It was brutal.

Moore and Manning went silent count.

A lot of teams used to have the guard hold the tackle's wrist.  I don't know if that's still common.

Eureka !

I remember the Giants playing in Denver years ago and the G's, T's and TE's held hands. At the time I thought is was strange....now I get it.

Thanks Michael.  🙂
