I don't get it.  You're mad because those chose to coach their team their way?  If you had wanted to coach the team, why didn't you volunteer to do so?  Sounds like you're over stepping your boundaries.

He is mad because they asked for his opinion and consultation.  He gave it to them.  They chose not to listen, and then failed miserably.  Apparently, his opinion was a good one because he took the reins of the same team and literally had his own version of "Worst to First", by winning the championship.

And also... I don't think he is mad.  He was merely making a point that good coaching makes a huge difference.  Having an open mind does as well... the coaches did not have an open mind.  They led their team to a sub par season.  He stepped in and helped them achieve greatness... with lots of help from this site.

Every coach gets suggestions from multiple people and chooses what to use and what not to use.  People have asked for my input and it honors me when I see them use it and I admire them when they try something different.  Who said they failed?  Has the season ended already?  So they didn't take his suggestions - maybe they're using someone's else's.  Maybe they're right, maybe they're wrong - it's their right to make those decisions.  If I had another coach try to horn in at my practices, I would be upset as well.

The OP is from three years ago.  They had a couple of miserable seasons.  Then he took over and won a championship last season.

Not mad cuz they wanted to coach the team his way. His way got him a winless season the year before. Mad cuz he asked me for advice and I set with him gave home detail instructions and he didn't take it. So I wasted my time. So not mad but was done with it. Don't come to me for help and don't take NONE ofy advice! But no mad....that same header helped last yr when we won the ship....and came back to help me this year with a different team....cuz he had to be shown the light...and he is soaking it up and getting better!
