We're going to play some 9 year olds in the playoffs who rush harder than any other team. We're also AWFUL at going on 2. We've jumped every no play.
I'm thinking about running something like a sally, trap, or wham. We run beast UC. They're likely going to have 6 rushers. Last year they hard slanted towards the strong side. So far we don't hit the backside too well. We're working hour of power against an 8 front and it's sometimes okay.
The two dynasties seem to always have a physical advantage. We're stacked, but they're probably bigger and faster.
Might think about going on 2 every single time. We do, everyone knows we do, and they still jump. They have been trained to go on 1 and their reflexes will betray them sooner or later. Esp. on the very 1st play of the game. Everything we do in practice - every drill, every sprint - is on 2
Umm.... why does that 6 ft tall 9 yr old have a goatee...?
If you're worried your kids will jump if you go on two (and my 12U kids jumped every time -- heck we have to pre-shift because they jump on motion), run it on down (first sound for us) or even on pressure. This helped me a few weeks ago against a select team that had timed our count. It's hard to walk up and blitz if we've already snapped the ball!

Change your no play to "sleep."
