In our PIE (power I variant) and Cake (ND Box variant) we have our two sniffers move to the hole called and split the Oline. It is very tough to stop. We have other calls and if a defender is in the hole gap called, We use Inga and Olga to run inside or outside the called hole. Works great. Gets pretty complicated sometimes but it is amazing what the boys can learn.

Very cool Steve. I want to go in a few different directions with Beast this season. OC has to agree, but shouldn't be a hard sell.
1) Beast under center. Can't tell you how many times our Beast attack has been stopped by our inability to snap the damn ball. Watched a ton of your film going under center, plus I can't forget the clinic you put on back in 2007 when you hung 40 on us. That was under center.
2) Widening the sniffers. If we put our inside sniffer 1x1 outside our TE, it is the same as our Quads Right look. We have a very dynamic passing attack out of quads. Just have to nail down the pass pro, especially from the short side. Can we run from this? Gonna find out. Also changing the blocking so that should help. See below
3) Switching up the blocking from an Inside Gap, Man, Linebacker to Playside Gap, Man on, Combo. This is a hard one for me because I'll miss the truck sized holes we opened by establishing outside leverage across the front and kicking out the EMLOS, but it's one of those things where I know what it looks like, but have a hard time describing it.
4) Cowboy adjustment. We often struggle with 1 "dude" who spikes us from depth. Our sniffers have always blocked: Inside sniffer - backside, Middle sniffer - kick out, Outside sniffer - FBI. In the past, when we had a snapper who was money, we could ignore the backside pursuit and our inside sniffer would block ISO to the biggest threat, which most often as that "dude". Cowboy puts the inside sniffer right next to the Beast back so that the "dude" would have to come to our iso blocker.
5) Bringing in our split X receiver. Let's make the short side a little longer. Or, move him over and make our long side a little longer. With him and short guard in mega splits, it will be that much harder to chase us down from the short side. Plus, no one ever covers the short end on a pass. No one.
6) Bringing all sniffers on counters. Did it in Flex and loved it.
7) installing a counter trap, bringing all sniffers. Did it in Flex and loved it.
8) installing play action off the counter. Money play.

I like your direction....
1) BUC works great. I do it all the time and also use gun too.
2) Ya we run the Worm which is our Beast Wide works great for passing.
3) I like the switch up, we have toyed around with this similar blocking scheme too. Just need to watch the A gaps. I always leak there. But if in Gun should not matter that much. IMO
4) We run a similar Cowboy which we just call Cake Formation and also has movable sniffers. Works out great!
5) I love playing around with widening the LOS.
6) Yep bring all on Counters works great, do this in our Texas Counter.
7) Counter Trap also works great.
8) We ran a Beast Worm reverse Drag pattern for money! Put our QB at the outside guy and he ran reverse option hits drag/ Beauty!
Good luck this season. Beast CHOW! ~ Parker
Just did a video on those 6 free plays from our Beast Tight from previous post. Enjoy.

Ooooooh. Now THAT is interesting. We usually have a trick play or two. This Spring, we did a double reverse pass back to the QB. Was wide open every time.
Not bad for a gimmick offense that doesn't teach "real football", eh?
BTW, I told my OC that I wanted BUC and he dropped your name. You're getting famous.
