Check in with some programs this week, all the same feedback... healthier kids, less injury... a good friend texted me his team is stronger now than aug 12th the 1st day of camp.  Upon asking him how he knows this objectively, he saus used the Bill Goldberg bench press challenge 135lbs for 100 reps that we did in June. 

I laughed bc i never program testers during the season,  he said they did it in camp and the avg was like 30, they did it a week ago with the avg in the 60s, 1 kid made it to 90. Theyve been doing the "3 and out" i shared a while ago and loving it.

If youre stronger in August than October,  youre probably not playing in November.

Panthers are 5-1 and top 5 in the area

What’s the 3 and out? The past two seasons we’ve been stronger at the end of the season than July/August. Right now we might be player for player stronger than any team in the history of the program. Now honestly that might not be saying much. I’m the first HC to have them lift during the season.

Varsity and jv have different programs for in season s&c. This is varsity. Jv plays monday afternoons. Jv has a compound movement on day gameday -2  (dumbell power clean)

I use gameday +/-  due to programs that play on sat only and 2 that are mixed.

Gameday+2 -monday
Plyo box -9 exertions
Hex bar deadlift (high handle)  - continues strength progression
Dips/chins = 50/20 with body weight

Gameday +3-tuesday
Plyo/throws-9 exertions
Close grip Bench press - continue from pre season
Dumbbell squat, dumbell stiff leg deads = 50 reps

Gameday -2 Wednesday
Push ups into row - 30 reps
V sit crunch = 30 reps bw only
Light run - 400 m

Gameday -1-thurs
Mobilize/stretch sesh 10 minutes
