Program I help informed me going forward they want me to take the conditioning aspect from them and out of practice. Only took 3 years of me pleading with them to do this. 30 minutes in practice just to run is not time well spent in my opinion.
After visiting the strength coach at St Louis high school in Hawaii, I now have a great plan to accomplish this.
Before every lift we condition. This has proved challenging as we only started this week. Thought ide share
After attendance kids run 400 m. Ran hard but not a sprint. After the first month if they don't finish in 2:30 they will run again.
After this we move to bodyweight circuit. We started at 3 rounds of air squat, pushup, and chin holds. 20 squats, 10 pushups, 30 sec hold. Circuit to be completed as fast as possible, then they're dismissed to the weight area. Total time 20 min.
Each month we will add a round until we get to 5 then adjust the rep ranges.
I can explain it to you, I can't understand if for you.
I’m confused…is this something you’re doing now or in the future when practice starts?
