I'm in agreement with most of you that it's typically not a good idea. I ran into this my first season coaching, when the HS coach wanted all the rec coaches to run the Wing-T with 2-2-3 splits. I pulled the "it's my first year" card and ran the Single Wing. The next year, he retired, and the HS hired an Air Raid coach. Two years later, that guy retired, and they went a different offense.
As I told the high school coach up here, "I'll teach them how to block, pull, and tackle. That way, they can do whatever you need."
