Hello everyone,
I'm a youth coach from Germany. I've been lurking for quite some time (learning lots of stuff from this forum). Since I'm going to be coaching offense next spring, I decided to de-lurk and see if I can get a more active. I look forward to learning from you πŸ™‚

Where in Germany are you, coach? I spent two years in northern Germany near Hannover and Bremen.

Thanks everyone πŸ™‚

I'm in southern Germany (near Frankfurt), but I come from Bremen.

I found southern Germany to be a much more beautiful place compared to northern Germany. Still loved it though. I miss the food and the beer (though the US has some great beer now..
It took a few centuries to make good beer here). There is a stereotype that Germans are stern and unfriendly. My experience is that the exact opposite is true.

I spent a week in Berchtesgaden which is right on the border with Austria in the Alps. Beautiful town and area. Interesting but dark history as well.

Yeah, our history is kind of monstrous. Though I'd say our education plans are pretty ok on this point, so... no Heils here.

I was referring to the history of Berchtesgaden specifically. Our history is just as monstrous. We tried the same thing with American Indians and actually did a better job.

DP was making a joke about being from southern Germany. β€œY’all” is a slang phrase used in the Southern U.S.
