DP was making a joke about being from southern Germany. “Y’all” is a slang phrase used in the Southern U.S.

Forget it, Lar.  The Germans don't get what I'm saying any better than the Americans do.

Germany and Austria are the 2 best American football countries in  Europe

DC, when you've cliniced there, did you get new and original questions that you've not been asked before?  Or do you get the same questions that you'd get asked stateside?

Yeah, our history is kind of monstrous.

You can say that again.  When I was about 7, I watched this documentary about Germany called, "Frankenstein."  Told me everything I needed to know about Germany: Windmills are scary places, doctors offices are in old towers, and if the doctor looks overstressed, it's because he is.  "Monstrous," indeed.

Very similar
Doesnt matter if Im in Key West or Anchorage- same questions 90% of the time
Fewer questions in Germany-
None of them ran my stuff- which makes for a bit of a different clinic and LOTS of High School age kids on these teams
All club football

Coach, would you say that your materials are suitable for that exact situation? I'm moving up in age groups this fall and I sometimes struggle with translating material to our context: U19 kids, so nominally high school athletes, but often with little or no football knowledge (and low athleticism, too, if they did not manage to 'fit' into any other sport before). Did your clinics result in German coaches adapting your systems?

I'd welcome it if you held a clinic in Germany again!

Thanks everyone 🙂

I'm in southern Germany (near Frankfurt), but I come from Bremen.

I was born in Frankfurt! Welcome to the site.

Yeah, I just want to stress I wasn't meaning to call out the WWII history of Germany. I don't want coach to feel like I was making any judgements. I just mentioned Berchtesgaden because it is a beautiful town in southern Germany. It just happens to be the location of the Eagles Nest. Being a WWII history buff I found that interesting.

I agree with DC, the level of knowledge in Germany was very high. They wanted in depth information on 4 verts, thankfully I had given a talk on that topic in the States earlier so I had all the info ready.

The coaches there were great, the German people even better. DC & I were there right before Christmas, it was awesome. I hope to return soon.
