Just signed up here after browsing for a bit.

I have helped coach flag football and 11-man Tiny-Mite with Pop Warner. This past Winter and Spring I was the head coach for an 8-man Pee Wee team here in the valley and this fall we are moving up to an 11-Man Weighted Pee Wee Division (7,8 and 9 yr olds).

Looking forward to soaking up as much information as possible as we will be implementing a single wing offense after losing our entire backfield to recruitment.

Welcome Coach. Glad to have you aboard.

I am pretty confident you will find much information regarding the Single Wing offense here (and at Delphi's).

Ask questions.

Specifically - ask question Dave (CoachDP), Joe (MHCoach) and Jack Gregory questions. And read everything they post. Then read it again. Then ask more questions. Then start from the top...  😉

I think those guys listed are among the best here. But there are others that are right in line with those guys. I go to certain guys for certain things(though I think I can run anything by Joe and get a great answer). It took me a while to recognize who was strong with what. I could easily expand that list to dozens of posters here. In fact just about everybody posting here has a bunch to offer. What I love about this place is that my own weaknesses were exposed(and they are many, to include an over use of parenthesis  ;)). I try to get those fixed up every day.
Start threads(ask questions)but first use the search tab as almost everything has been covered to some extent.

I agree. There are so many "forte" guys here its like shopping at one of those Wal Mart Super Stores.  😛

I guess GP doesn't love all of us anymore.  :'(

I bet GP agrees with what I said but pointed out some of the super stars.  🙂 There are some fantastic football minds on here. Too many to name.

Haha you know that's not true, Mike!  ;D

Totally agree with what Rob said. The OP would prob be best off talking to Cisar and Rob who have had a ton of success with the SW. Of course Mike will be his man when he puts in Beast  😛

But it's tough to argue with Joe or DP as a starting point...

Oh, so it was () for you Rob? 8)
For me it was too many smilies 😉
Don't know why 🙂
But I'm getting professional help :(, so I'm getting better ::)

By the way, welcome to all new comers.

Rob is right, we can all learn from many people, and we all bring new things to the table.

One advice is don't take things too personally or you will need a very thick skin.

On second thoughts, the thick skin will be very useful in your coaching career, so you probably want to work on that anyway 😉  -- (oops, another one)

Welcome.

Don't be afraid to ask the "stupid" question.  You won't get slammed here.  And what you may think is stupid is probably what many others are afraid to ask.

Not knowing something is not stupid.  Not asking something you don't know is stupid.

Actually Arizona_Cheesehead (Patrick) called me.  We spoke for maybe an hour and he had nothing but good questions.
