Hope everyone that played this season had a great year. Our football was canceled this year. They were hinting at doing the season in the spring. It has been very strange not coaching anything this year. Tried not to be to productive, didnt want to give ammo to the wife to try and get me not to coach anymore. I really missed coaching and it has given me a renewed attitude. I haven't been on the site in a long time, but I am back and ready to learn to be a much better coach. Stay safe to all of you and your families.

The greatest accomplishment is not in never failing, but in rising again after you fail.

My canceled season finally came out in a dream last night.  I dreamed I was coaching a kid who didn't want to do a shed-a-coach-holding-a-padded-shield and tackle-a-dummy drill, saying, "I stink at this."  Both his parents were present.  I told him that may be true, but a lot of kids who stank at football all had fun playing it, and not all of them wound up still stinking at it.

We're just getting started.  Unless COVID and the Governor pull the plug.

Good the hear from you. We just finished our season. It was a constant battle but somehow worked out.

Nobody died so it was a very successful season. I do not mean that tongue in check either....we even had neighbors spying on our practices ready to turn us into the Governor. One team had to move because there were apparently too many teams at our ENOURMOUS practice facility. Although one team from another League was practicing there without a permit.

Lar managed our post season playoff tourney over Halloween. We barley made it before Code Red shutdown hit....like with two days to spare.... like COVID was going to pounce all over us on Wednesday....but not the Monday before.

Hope you get to do the Spring thing. I am glad we got to do Fall. All crap aside....I did have a ton of fun.

What is beautiful, lives forever.

I barely got my season in, and reading Mahonz’ post was giving me déjà vu. That said, school was all virtual during our season, so this was the only opportunity  these kids had to see friends in real life. Looking back I wasn’t sure how it would work, but I’m really glad we got the season in and that I coached.
