He's fired LOL

--No.  He carried 3 times last night.

was it lost?

--No.  The RBs have not turned over the ball all season.  Varsity or JV.

how bad did he feel?

--He's a 3.  He started last week's game and it was on the first scrimmage play.  The starter was out, due to injury.  The 2 also starts at LB, so I started the 3.  He just ran the first play like he was shot out of a cannon and didn't take the ball cleanly from the QB.  QB just ended up falling on the ball.  I talked to him and the QB when they got to the sideline.  I assessed that it was more the RB's fault because he had not secured the ball before leaping out of the backfield.  He wasn't happy about being the only RB to fumble this year.  But then, I absolutely H A T E all this read/option ride the Back, pull it back out at the last second stuff.  I'm amazed that we don't cough it up all the time.  Who even thought up this kind of handoff?  Makes no sense...

The weird thing is, the JV and the Varsity RBs have the same number of rushing attempts at this juncture.
