Conventional one back pro uses outside leg of guard as the monument for IZ.  Pistol coaches like to use inside leg.

Anyone know why?  Because of the slower timing of pistol?

Its preferance...I watched a report on xandoslabs and the coach uses 2 aimin points a foot and a head.

He used foot to near foot and head to sternum.

Since you should be trying to get 3 doubles on the los ide go for speed into the combo

I can explain it to you, I can't understand if for you.

Yeah - what I am wondering is what is does to the red/white concept.

Technically, we would have a bubble in the B gap vs. a 1 tech.  Do we switch red to A gap and consider B gap white?

If we monument to inside leg we are potentially running into a defender if they are 1 tech.  This would normally be a white read and scream for IZ.

What you think?

This Is still white. B GAP is open.

Center and guard would perform slip block from 1 to backer. Tackle is in a man call with the 5.

I think I got your question.

If you have white all day run tight zone all day.

Move H around.

You can run tight and wide to what ever front you want its just easier vs the corresponding colors

We ran tight zone into double red last season (split 4) went 90 yds haha

Chris

I am wondering if that's the aiming point on the Zone Read where they bend around the QB?

It's the landmark for the TB on both regular IZ with QB boot and IZR.

He's reading first DLM playside from center and either bending or banging.
